The new “Disability Equality Index” is here! On May 29, 2014, the American Association of People with Disabilities (“AAPD”) and the US Business Leadership Network (“US-BLN”) announced the inaugural release of the Disability Equality Index (“DEI”). Created by leaders in the business and disability communities, the DEI is an online benchmarking tool that offers businesses the opportunity to receive an objective score, on a scale of zero to 100, on their disability inclusion policies and practices. Our presenters are very knowledgeable about the DEI, as they were instrumental in its development and a pilot of the DEI among 48 of the Fortune 1000 companies. They will discuss the DEI tool, their experiences in using it, and opportunities the tool provides for businesses. For employers who are interested in developing and/or enhancing their disability inclusion practices, you won’t want to miss this seminar!
